Wow. What a week. Or rather, 11 days. The chaos started on a Thursday night when 4 of our gals flew into town. It didn't stop until more than a week had passed.
Our days were full of talking, laughing, playing, painting, writing, singing, photos and more. I'm a bit tired (still) so I'm going to let a few pictures do the story telling for me!

mooting...
It's here again. The second annual CleanPlace Moot has arrived and it is, in short, chaos. Not that chaos is always a bad thing.
I have three of the gals staying with me this year. They are all very excited to be here and sharing a room (they could have split up, but they all WANTED to be in the same room). Last night, I heard chatting until 2 am!
Today was walking in Garden of the Gods and then to Panera for our first writing time together. The teens hear about Panera often as three of the four mentors spend a good deal of our time there. I didn't get pictures tonight, but let's just say the community room was crowded! We did some timed writing prompts and the kids all seem to be having a great time.
We have a busy week ahead of us. Pray that I get some sleep and that all our activities go smoothly. Next week (well, Friday) I'll be taking 11 of these teens on a camping trip. What an adventure!

homecomings and other things...
First off, I want to say congrats to my old friends, Andy & Jody Landers, on their adoption of 2 beautiful children. They will be home soon (from Africa) to join the four boys they already have. I'm not surprized that Jody and Andy are adopting- they have great big hearts.
My dear little Kayla is away at reading camp, otherwise known as grandma's house. Scott's mom taught both Jake and Will how to read. So Kayla is learning how to read while we all miss her.
On June 13th, there will be a great influx of teenagers into the Colorado Springs area. 30 teens from CleanPlace (along with various family members) will be coming for the second annual CP Moot. This year, I'm hosting 3 of the gals at my house. Should be fun.
I have a house to put in order AND clean before the 13th. I should get busy...
