saturday snapshot...

The cute thing in the green shirt is my friend Will--he and his sister were in The Sound of Music as part of their acting class--so very adorable!

And the precious one in green and white (on the floor) is Kayla.

Who can help but love seeing little girls dance?

Zooing...

I went with Shelly and the kids to the zoo. They have some friends visiting from Nepal, and we took their 6 year old with us. He had a blast.

Here's Caleb, Kayla and Will looking for the tiger.
This little guy got a hold of a raspberry, and then he sat very still for photos. Notice the pink lips!

It was drama day at the zoo--such a poser!

We had a blast, the weather was perfect, and Caleb has some fun memories to take home with him!

satruday snapshot: sitting pretty

She was playing dress-up, her makeup was a bit wonky, but she looked so cute. I didn't pose her, this was how she sat down--I think Scott and Shelly might have to lock her up before she's 10 at this rate!

saturday snapshot double take

Will is a little old man, stuck in an eight-year-old's body.

And Kayla made a very important decision last night--welcome to the Kingdom baby!

saturday snapshot...

Kayla never misses a chace to smile for the camera. Not so sure what Scott was doing.

playing at the mall...

So last week, Shelly called and asked me to hang with her and the kids for the day. After a lunch at Chick-Fil-A, we headed to the mall. Shelly wanted to go to Old Navy. Kayla decided to try her knee at modeling. Then Jake and Will got into the game. Love that look on Kay's face. Oh are her parents in trouble!
And I thought the mannequins did such a great job--too bad my pics are blurry. Camera is a bit finicky, especially when you aren't using a flash.

We had a great time.

worship...

Sunday brought an interesting set of revelations to me.  I got to attend all of worship in our service (something that I don't get to do often due to working in the nursery and not being able to attend the worship service that I fit into best).  Since Shelly was singing, I stood with Kayla (who is 4).  Sometimes, Kayla will let me hold her during worship.  Sometimes she sings, and other times she just rests her head on my shoulder.  This weekend she was a bit tired and spent several songs with her head tucked up against mine.

And I realized that THAT is my favorite way to worship.  Holding Kayla helps me connect with God--hearing her tiny voice singing along spurs me closer to the Father.  I've known for a while that being around Kay and her brothers is good for me, I just never realized how much I love to worship with her.  I love this little girl's heart!
