For me, I believe the holding patterns are opportunities for me to focus on something other than my situation. It's a time when God wants me to be listening and learning to wait patiently because there's something vital He wants to tell me--if only I'll slow down, stop thinking about my troubles, and start listening to what He wants to whisper.<br /><br />That doesn't make it any easier, day to day, though. <br /><br />I recently talked to one of our young friends about being in a holding pattern with God. I know that waiting and listening period stinks. But as with most things concerning God's plans, it's worth the wait.
